Step 3: From your Mac Desktop select the Apple symbol in the upper left hand corner, go down to Control Panels, then to Modems. Your modem should be listed in the Connect Via: box. If it is not, consult your modem documentation on installing and configuring your modem. You may optionally select any of the other options, but we recommend you select similar options as shown on the left. Close the Control Panel by clicking the button on the upper left hand corner of the window. Proceed to Step 4. 

Step 4: From your Mac Desktop select the Apple symbol in the upper left hand corner, go down to Control Panels, then to PPP. You should now see the screen on the right. Enter your username (the part proceeding @crosslink.net from your e-mail address) in the Name: box. Enter your password in the Password: box. If you wish to have your password saved, click the save password checkbox.The number should be the number of the POP Site you are dialing up to. If you are unsure of this, check our list of POP sites. Click on the Options button and proceed to Step 5.
