Step 5: You should now see the screen shown on the left. Click on the Protocol Tab. Select the options shown on the left, then click OK. Proceed to Step 6. 

Step 6: You will now be back at the previous screen. At this point, you are ready to connect. Click the Connect button. You modem will dial the number in the Phone: box. After connecting, a terminal window will come up. It will offer the following prompts: login: enter your CrossLink username and hit <return> on your keyboard password:  enter your password and hit <return>. At the next prompt, type PPP and hit return. If all is successful, you should see something similar to the screen on the right. If you would like to automate this login process, you can save a connection script from the login session you go through when logging onto CrossLink.
