From the very tip of Virginia's Northern Neck Region. . . where the great Potomac River meets the majestic Chesapeake Bay. The serene natural beauty of one of Virginia's most unspoiled historic regions provides the idyllic setting for you to relax and unwind as your cruise sets sail for a journey back in time to the 17th Century.
Cruise 13 - 1/2 miles across the storied Chesapeake Bay, to Smith Island. Sail waterways with interlacing creeks, canals, and tiny clusters of islands. You will cruise past the historic Smith Point Light House, one of the few historic light houses still operational and lighting the way for mariners all year round.
You may also see one of many large cruise ships coming and going to and from Baltimore, MD and other ports of call around the world.
Dock and tour Ewell, largest of Smith Island's three scenic and historic fishing villages. For lunch you may wish to dine on Ewell villages picturesque waterfront at one of the Island's restaurants offering a seafood family-style midday dinner, or enjoy other homemade delicacies. For a delicious dessert, you may wish to try homemade pie or sample a 10-layer chocolate cake or, you may bring your won picnic lunch to enjoy on the porch of the Smith Island Center.
