We at Mulqueen have been making regular trusses for 19 years. Our geographical area is from Virginia Beach to Baltimore. Our main area has traditionally been the Washington D.C. metro area. This includes Northern Virginia, the beltway area and southern Maryland.
We pride ourselves on the large and complex jobs as well as the sweet and simple. A 70 foot hip set is not a big deal to either our engineering or manufacturing people. We of course like jobs with one truss size but lately we have jobs with 20 to 60 different truss types.
Fire jobs - We do a lot of fire restoration jobs - usually these jobs require fast delivery. For example: A fire in a restaurant burns the kitchen Tuesday. The restaurant is out of business. They need nine 46' trusses delivered to downtown Baltimore. Our response is "What time Thursday would you like them there?"
We at Mulqueen are more than willing to build nine trusses, ship them three hours away, wait in the middle of the city for a crane to unload and work our manufacturing people overtime. The insurance company loves us because instead of three to five weeks delay for the trusses from another plant, Mulqueen gets them there in two days. Repairs to the restaurant can start almost immediately. Everybody is happy.
