Windows 2000 Network Configuration

Network Configuration for Windows 2000

1) Double click on "My Computer"
2) Double click on "Control Panel"
2) Double click on "Network and Dial-up Connections"
3) If you already have a CrossLink icon, please click here. If not, follow these instructions
4) Double click on "Make New Connection"
5) You should see a screen similar to the one below

6) Click on the "Next" button
7) Put a dot in the options to "Dial-up to the Internet"

8) Click on the "Next" button
9) Put a dot next to the third option

10) Click on the "Next" button
11) Select "I connect through a phone line and a modem

12) Click on the "Next" button
13) Select the modem that you are using. Most likely, your modem will already be selected. Note: your modem will probably be different from the one below

14) Click on the "Next" button
15) Make sure your screen matches the one below, with the exception the phone number.
Enter the local CrossLink phone number you should have been given. You can find a complete list here

16) Click on the "Advanced" button
17) Make sure your screen matches the one below

18) Click on the "Addresses" tab
19) Your screen should match the screen below

20) Click on the "OK" button
21) Click on the "Next" button
22) Enter your username and password

23) Click on the "Next" button
24) Type "crosslink" for the Connection name

25) Click on the "Next" button
26) Select "No"

27) Click on the "Next" button
28) Take the check out of the box

29) Click "Finish"
