Network Configuration for Windows 2000 (Cont)

1) Click one time with your right mouse button on the CrossLink icon
2) In the gray box that appears, click on "Properties"
3) Make sure your window looks exactly like the one below, with the exception
of the phone number. You may have a different phone number.
Note: the *70 should only be present if you have call waiting. Also, if you have
to dial the area code for local calls, always put it in the "Phone Number" box,
not the "Area code" box. Make sure there is not a check in "Use Dialing Rules"

4) Click on the "Options" tab
5) Your window should look like the one below. Make sure there is no
check in "Include Windows logon domain". The other options you may set to your preferences.

6) Click on the "Security" tab
7) Your window should look exactly like the one below

8) Click on the "Networking" tab
9) Your window should look like the one below. There may be more components
listed in the box, but only the two checked below should be checked

10) Click on the "Settings" button
11) Make sure your window looks exactly like the window below

12) Click on the "OK" button
13) You should be back at the screen below

14) Click on the "Properties" button
15) Your screen should look exactly like the one below

16) Click on the "Advanced" button
17) Make sure your screen matches the below screen

18) Click on the "DNS" tab
19) Your screen should look exactly like the screen below

20) Click on the "WINS" tab
21) Make sure your screen matches the one below

22) Click on the "OK" button
23) Click on "OK" on the next window
24) Click on "OK" again on the next window
25) Configuration is now complete. Please restart your computer, then go
back into "Network and Dial-up Connections" and double click on the "crosslink" icon to connect.
