Network Configuration for Windows Millenium Edition

1) Click on the CrossLink icon with your right mouse button one time
2) Click on "Properties"

3) Make sure there is NO check in "Use area code and Dialing Properties", and make sure your dial up number and modem are correctly selected.
4) Click on the "Networking" tab
5) Make sure your window exactly matches the one below

6) Click on the "TCP/IP Settings" button
7) Make sure your screen exactly matches the one below:

8) Click on the "OK" button
9) Click on the "Security" tab
10) Make sure your screen matches the one below
NOTE: User name and Password should be your CrossLink username and password

11) Click on the "OK" button
12) Close "Dial-up Networking"
13) Double click on the "Network" icon

14) In the list of installed components, make sure these to are included:
"Dial-Up Adapter", and "TCP/IP" (or "TCP/IP->Dial-Up Adapter")
15) Make sure the "Primary Network Logon" is set to "Windows Logon"
16) Double click on the "TCP/IP" (or "TCP/IP->Dial-Up Adapter") component
17) Make sure your screen matches the following screen:

18) Click on the "OK" button
19) Click on the next "OK" button
20) When your computer prompts you to restart, click on the "Yes" button.
If your computer does not prompt you to restart, click on your "Start" button,
click on "Shut Down", and restart your computer.

You are now ready to connect to CrossLink! To connect, go into Dial-up Networking
and double click on the "crosslink" icon
